Family on Mission - Mission Starts With Me

Jesus said in John 6:44, “No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him.” It took me years to learn that.

I grew up when evangelism meant argument. Apologetics. Winning debates. Anticipating objections and hammering through them. I’ve stood at doors and on streets arguing about God, the Bible, and faith. And do you know what I discovered? Arguments rarely produce life.

Jesus said the Father draws people. That means God is already at work.

Look at Jesus’ mission. In Luke 19:10, He declares, “The Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” That’s why we’re still here. If God’s only intention was to bless you with comfort and peace, He’d take you to heaven right now. But He’s left you here because His heart is for the lost.

In Matthew 28:19–20, He commands us:

This is not optional. This is our calling. But how did Jesus do it?

In Matthew 9:10–13, He eats with tax collectors and sinners. The religious leaders are offended. The Romans are offended. Why? Because He valued people. He said, “I desire mercy, not sacrifice… I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.”

That’s where it starts. Value people.

In John 15:15, He tells His disciples, “I no longer call you servants… but friends.” His method was friendship. He gathered crowds, yes—but He built the kingdom on relationships.

And when He delivered the demoniac in Mark 5:19, He said, “Go home to your friends and tell them how much the Lord has done for you.” Go to your own. Tell them what God has done.

So here it is—simple and clear: Value people. Pray with people. Share what God has done in your life.

You don’t need to be argumentative. You don’t need to be weird. Care about people. When they share a burden, pray with them. Let the kingdom come near. Tell them how the Lord has had mercy on you.

God is working. He’s drawing people. He’s asking you to join Him.

Love one another. Be family on mission. And get on with the job He’s given you.
