SUNDAY MESSAGE SUMMARY
Living in the Power of God’s Grace- Part 3
Hengki Widjaja
August 17 marks Indonesia’s independence, but it didn’t come easily. Even after Japan surrendered, our leaders hesitated to declare freedom. It took a bold younger generation to act—to push forward, even to the point of kidnapping Sukarno and Hatta, to make that declaration happen. Why? Because sometimes, even in victory, people hesitate to live like they’ve won.
And we can do the same in our faith. Jesus has already won the war—sin, death, and the devil have been defeated at the cross. But how many of us still live like we’re defeated? It’s time to wake up. It’s time to realise our victory, live out our victory, and confront our enemy.
Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption.
From 1 Corinthians 15, we’re reminded: flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God. Only those who walk by the Spirit can truly live in righteousness, peace, and joy. This isn’t about material blessings. This is about transformation from the inside out. Victory is a gift—one we must wear, walk in, and work out through the Holy Spirit.
But we can’t stop there. We must confront the real enemies—shame, fear, anxiety, addiction, unforgiveness. These are not meant to define us. They’re meant to be defeated. Hengki shared his personal story of panic attacks and nights filled with fear. But through it all, the Holy Spirit reminded him: “Don’t let hell rule your heart.”
There is power in resurrection. Eternity starts now.
If the Kingdom of God is righteousness, peace, and joy—then anything less must be confronted.
So don’t settle. Don’t spiritualise defeat. If Jesus is Lord, let His victory shape your everyday. Be steadfast. Be immovable. Dedicate yourself to the work of the Lord. Not just for yourself, but so your life becomes a witness.
Realise the victory Christ has given you. Live as people who walk in that victory. Confront the enemy, fear, shame and addiction—in the name of Jesus.
Victory in Christ isn’t just believed—it’s lived. Walk boldly in the power of His resurrection.
